São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport

Governor André Franco Montoro International Airport (IATA: GRU, ICAO: SBGR) is the principal international airport serving So Paulo/Guarulhos. Cumbica Airport, after the district where it is located and the Brazilian Air Force installation that still remains at the airport complex, or Guarulhos Airport, after the municipality of Guarulhos, in the So Paulo metropolitan region, where it is located, are the two names that are commonly used locally. The airport has been named after André Franco Montoro (1916–1999), former Governor of the state of So Paulo, since November 28, 2001. In 2012, the airport was renamed GRU Airport.
